CHIEF FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• flight Inspections: Conduct flight inspections of the aircraft with students, emphasizing the importance of safety and adherence to checklists.
• In-Flight Instruction: Provide hands-on instruction during flight lessons, teaching maneuvers, procedures, and decision-making skills.
• Emergency Procedures: Train students on how to handle emergency situations and develop the ability to make effective decisions under stress.
• Flight Planning: Assist students in developing flight plans, including navigation, weather analysis, and fuel calculations.
• Instrument Training: Instruct students how to use aircraft instruments.
• Performance Evaluation: Regularly assess and evaluate the student's progress, providing constructive feedback on both strengths and areas that need improvement.
• Debriefings: Conduct post-flight debriefings to review the flight, discuss any issues, and reinforce learning objectives.
• Regulatory Compliance.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Stay current with aviation regulations and ensure that students are aware of and comply with applicable rules and procedures.
• Endorsements: Prepare students fly solo flights check rides, and other milestones in the student's training.
• Continuing Education: Keep students aware of developments in aviation and changes in regulations.
• Maintain Certifications: Ensure that flight instructor certifications and ratings are current, meeting the regulatory requirements.
• Safety Briefings: Emphasize safety throughout training, promoting a safety culture that instils good habits in students.
• Risk Management: Teach students how to assess and manage risks in various flight scenarios.
• Professional Guidance: Provide mentorship and guidance to help students navigate their aviation careers.
• Tailoring Instruction: Customize teaching methods to suit the learning style and pace of individual students.
• Adjust to Technology: Stay current with advancements in aviation technology and incorporate relevant tools into training.
• Clear Communication: Clearly communicate instructions, concepts, and expectations to students, ensuring a thorough understanding.
• Listening Skills: Be attentive to students' questions and concerns, fostering an open and supportive learning environment.
• Simulation Training: Use flight simulators to enhance training and simulate various scenarios.
• Scenario-Based Training: Integrate scenario-based training to help students apply their knowledge and skills to real-world situations.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress, flight hours, and required endorsements.
• Scheduling: Manage and coordinate flight schedules and ground instruction sessions with students.
• Student Relations: Develop positive relationships with students, addressing their concerns and providing encouragement.
• Professionalism: Exhibit professionalism in all interactions, serving as a representative of the flight school or training organization.
• Stay Informed: Keep abreast of changes in aviation regulations and ensure that training practices align with the latest standards.
• Collaborate with Colleagues: Work collaboratively with other flight instructors, ground instructors, and staff to create a cohesive training environment.

Qualifications & Requirement:

• Ab-initio flying instructional experience in a large ATO.
• Minimum 2000 Flight hours
• GCAA or any ICAO Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a Single Engine Class Rating.
• Flight Instructor Rating with Night and Instrument privileges.
• Class 1 Medical Certificate without restrictions.
• ICAO English Language Proficiency level 5 or greater.
• Exceptional instructional technique with an understanding of a broad range of teaching methodologies.
• Computer literate

• Interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to work independently
