The Role

Job Overview: - We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Estimator/Quantity Surveyor (QS) to lead our estimating department and oversee the financial and contractual aspects of our construction projects. - The successful candidate will have extensive experience in cost estimation, project financial management, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget. - This is a leadership role that requires strategic oversight and collaboration across departments. Key Responsibilities: o Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. o Manage and oversee the entire tendering process, including bid submissions. o Conduct cost analysis and risk assessment for ongoing projects. o Ensure that all financial aspects of the projects comply with legal and company requirements. o Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. o Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring all financial objectives are met. o Collaborate with project managers and site teams to provide accurate cost updates and forecasts. o Lead a team of junior estimators and QS professionals, providing guidance and ensuring the team meets performance targets. o Prepare regular financial reports and present cost evaluations to senior management.



Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. o Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry, including a manager or supervisory position. o Proven expertise in cost estimation and contract management. o Strong understanding of local UAE construction regulations and tendering processes. o Excellent negotiation and communication skills. o Ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously. o Proficiency in project management and estimating software. o Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
