The Chief Engineer will oversee and lead all engineering activities in the production of switchgear. This role ensures the effective design, manufacturing, and maintenance of equipment and systems, as well as compliance with industry standards. The Chief Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes, improve product quality, and achieve operational goals. Key Responsibilities: Engineering Management: . Lead and supervise the engineering team in the design, development, and optimization of switchgear production. . Ensure all electrical systems meet product specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. . Oversee the creation and review of engineering designs, schematics, and technical documentation. . Develop and implement engineering solutions to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product reliability. Production Support: . Coordinate with production managers to address technical issues and streamline production processes. . Monitor the performance of equipment and systems used in manufacturing, recommending improvements or upgrades as needed. . Ensure all machinery and tools are maintained and calibrated to achieve consistent product quality. Quality Assurance and Compliance: . Establish quality control measures to ensure the manufacturing process meets ISO and IEC standards for switchgear production. . Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve defects or production inefficiencies. . Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting switchgear manufacturing. Project Management: . Plan, manage, and execute engineering projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. . Collaborate with R&D teams to develop new products or improve existing switchgear designs. . Prepare technical reports and presentations for senior management. Team Leadership: . Mentor and train engineering staff to enhance their skills and technical knowledge. . Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork. . Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, sales, and logistics to align engineering activities with business objectives. Qualifications: Education: . Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and (Master's preferred). Experience: . 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in switchgear production. Technical Skills: . Strong knowledge of switchgear design, testing, and manufacturing processes. . Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ETAP). . Understanding of electrical standards such as IEC, IEEE, and NEMA. Soft Skills: . Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. .
