As well, we are faster and more flexible in meeting customer requirements.Job Summary:We seek a Chief Engineer - Initial System Design who embodies strategic leadership and possesses unparalleled technical expertise. In this crucial role within the System Design department, the ideal candidate will shape the technological direction, contributing significantly to the inception and development of new missile products. With a focus on feasibility and viability, we are looking for an individual who can seamlessly blend innovation with precision, ensuring our projects align with cutting-edge technology and meet the highest standards of excellence.Key Accountabilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive technology landscaping in Missile Design, Aerodynamics, Guidance Navigation and Control, and AI domains.
  • Initiate and lead feasibility studies to assess the technical and economic viability of proposed concepts.
  • Drive the development of innovative product concepts, ensuring alignment with client requirements and technological advancements.
  • Author and oversee the creation of meticulous system design documents, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Estimate initial program costs and establish realistic implementation schedules.
  • Present and advocate proposed concepts to clients, contributing to successful sales efforts.
  • Assist in the establishment of new projects by providing technical guidance and expertise.
  • Support the Head of System Design in strategic decision-making and technology roadmap development.
  • Oversee the assessment of emerging technologies, providing insights to enhance missile design capabilities.
  • Direct the team in conducting thorough feasibility studies to evaluate proposed concepts\' technical and economic viability.
  • Lead the team in developing innovative product concepts aligned with client requirements and technological advancements.
  • Personally contribute to and supervise the creation of comprehensive system design documents, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Oversee the estimation of initial program costs and setting realistic schedules for implementation.
  • Provide technical support in client presentations, enhancing the success of proposed concept sales.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish new projects, offering technical guidance and expertise.
  • Offer expert advice and insights to the Head of System Design and Chief Technology Officer, contributing to strategic decision-making and technology roadmap development.
Experience & Education Qualifications:
  • Minimum: 12 years of relevant experience in missile design and initial system design. In-depth knowledge of aerodynamics, guidance navigation and control systems, and artificial intelligence as applied to missile technology.
  • Preferred: 15+ years of experience. Extensive experience in leading and managing technical teams in missile design. Demonstrated track record of successful project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Minimum: Masters\' degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Preferred: Master\'s or Ph.D. in Engineering.
