We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational Chief Engineer to join our pre-opening team. Reporting to our General Manager, the Chief Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the property maintenance pre and post opening.Opening in Q1 2025, Cheval Collection is delighted to be adding a second Dubai property to its growing portfolio. The ideal candidate will ensure the hotel\'s infrastructure, facilities, and systems are maintained at the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency while providing exceptional guest experiences. With a commitment to maintaining Cheval\'s reputation as a premier destination in Expo City Dubai.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Management: Lead, train, and develop a skilled engineering team, ensuring the department runs efficiently and effectively.Facility Maintenance: Oversee all preventive maintenance, repair work, and upgrades for the hotel\'s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, HVAC, elevators, and guest facilities.Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local and international safety regulations, building codes, fire safety standards, and environmental requirements.Energy Management: Implement energy-saving and sustainability initiatives, constantly seeking ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining guest comfort.Vendor & Contractor Relations: Liaise with external contractors and suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring timely and quality service, and overseeing external work on the property.Budget Management: Manage the engineering department budget, track expenses, and work with the General Manager to forecast and control costs without compromising on quality.Crisis Management: Respond swiftly to emergency situations, including power outages, equipment failures, or other critical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and guest experience.Guest Satisfaction: Collaborate closely with the front office and housekeeping teams to address any guest concerns relating to engineering and maintenance, ensuring a seamless and luxurious stay.Cheval Maison - Expo City boasts 151 exquisite studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments, a rooftop pool, meeting and events space, as well as a restaurant and bar, brasserie and coffee shop.Cheval Collection, a collection of luxury serviced apartments available to book for any length of stay.
