A well established group of hotels is looking out to hire a Chief Engineer. Candidate should preferably have previous experience in a similar role with reputed hospitality organizations. As a Chief Engineer, you are responsible for all matters related to the repairs and maintenance operation of the physical plant and engineering facilities within the hotel and maintain all mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment including heating and ventilation, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:
oOrganize and set up preventive maintenance programmers for all electrical and mechanical equipment including general building works
oSupervise maintenance employees and contract employees who are carrying out minor building work, electrical and mechanical installations
oSupervise and liaise with all contractors, write specifications for all electrical, mechanical and associated building works complying with the local government regulations and inspect and sign for contractor works upon satisfactory completion
oOversee the general maintenance of all life safety systems throughout the hotel and report any major defects
oEnsure that all administration files are kept up to date including drawing prints, specifications and equipment, technical maintenance manuals, etc.
oRecommend and evaluate energy conservation programs, ensure they are carried out, and investigate the waste.
Education, Qualifications & Experiences
You should ideally have a degree in mechanical and electrical engineering with at least three years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
? Experience in the implementation of energy?saving initiatives, coaching and developing a group of individuals.
? Good verbal and written English skills.
? Project and Time Management.
? A broad knowledge of all Engineering Disciplines.

? Problem?solving and follow?up ability
