• Contribute to defining key performance indicators for editorial activity in the News Centre.
• Contribute to setting editorial standards and TV broadcasting trends for everything broadcast through the news center.
• Reviewing and approving reports and evidence received from all sources inside and outside the country, ensuring their credibility and accurately formulating their editorial and technical content before broadcasting.
• Planning broadcast contents in accordance with the news center style, editorial policy, and broadcasting requirements and following up on their implementation.
• Use approved reference sources to verify facts, dates and statistics before final approval and broadcasting.
• Preparing, rewriting, and editing copies of the best quality and delivery on time to ensure the proper functioning of the news center and not causing any delay.
• Research and fly ideas related to the region and edit all areas and content of programs and news items that would attract viewers and submit them to the direct manager for viewing and expressing an opinion on the appropriate ones.
• Organizing sessions to generate ideas for programs and materials with editors, broadcasters, and stakeholders, and submitting their results to the direct manager for review and approval of the appropriate ones for broadcasting.
• Evaluating the importance of incoming local and international news, selecting the appropriate ones, assigning topics and events to editors and broadcasters, and following up on their implementation of the tasks assigned to them.
• Organizing periodic meetings or when needed with the direct manager, the work team, and any other stakeholders to discuss projects, solve problems, and make decisions.
• Oversee broadcasting to ensure deadlines and budget requirements are adhered.
• Follow-up programs and news items in the news center and review them after broadcasting to determine any areas of improvement required to be rectified later .
• Staying informed and following up the work of competitors to identify aspects of difference and submit any proposals to the line manager that would improve the news center editing outputs.
• Conducting the necessary copyright appropriations and communicating with stakeholders internally and externally to ensure speed, correctness, and accuracy of implementation.
• Supervising broadcasting on the website and directing the work team in this regard.
• Maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in the internal committees related to the activities of editing programs and news items.
• Contribute to the preparation and submission of periodic reports to the line manager on the activities of editing programs and news items.
• Preparing administrative and financial transactions according to approved levels of authority.
• Communicate with internal and external correspondents about the agenda of their stories, check their links and package texts, as well as agree with them on the timing and content before starting the editing process to ensure their suitability.
• Contribute to the management of local programs and coverage internally and externally .

• Bachelors degree in media.
• Minimum of 4 years in similar position.
• Familiarity with the directives and requirements for compliance with TV policies and procedures .
• Familiarity and full awareness of the local and regional cultural environment
• Familiarity with the specifications and requirements of the main systems in television. Familiarity with corporate identity standards and methods of their application.
• Familiarity with the editorial policy approved in the news center.
• Familiarity with the procedures for scheduling channels and news programmers .
• The skill of developing the content of news programs professionally .
• Skills of dealing with suppliers, agencies, and news channels.
