Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Finance Manager to join our supermarket and restaurant group. The Assistant Finance Manager will support the Finance Manager in overseeing financial operations, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations for senior management.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with company policies and regulations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Support department managers in budget preparation and financial planning.

Accounting and Bookkeeping:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Support decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations.
• Analyze financial performance of different business units within the supermarket and restaurant group.

Compliance and Audit:

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Assist in coordinating internal and external audits and prepare audit schedules and documentation.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.

Cash Flow Management:

• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cash management strategies.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and reports for senior management.

Team Support and Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for finance team members.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and financial goals.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month

Experience:

• overseeing financial operations: 3 years (Preferred)
