Charterhouse are currently managing a search for newly established trading organisation; whom are setting up an operation within the DMCC jurisdiction. This business entity shall be designed to run a fully-fledged trading and logistics branch, independently of a large-scale dry bulk operator. This Chief Accountant shall be responsible for managing all areas of month-end activities, whilst managing the day-to-day operational practices of account reconciliation and consolidation whilst also managing all statutory accounting, any regulatory reporting and financial information packs.Working across the ERP (SAP) platform, this Chief Accountant will also be responsible for the undertaking of financial analysis, to support management reporting and the provision of information for both budgeting purposes and performance monitoring. The Chief Accountant will also take a lead within the review of any accounting policies, whilst acting an interface for any audit undertakings, along with the support of treasury and/or funding needs within the operation.The client will look to recruit a professionally qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) candidate, whom is able to demonstrate a minimum experience level of five years, within a corporate or trading-based organisation. The successful candidate shall be expected to work within a fast-paced and start-up environment and shall be required to develop strong control policy and governance across the full accounting cycle.In conjunction, the candidates shall be required to deliver a strong IT knowledge across the SAP ERP, along with an advanced Excel skill set, to allow for in-depth analysis and financial modelling capabilities.
