As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining excellent hygiene standards.
To manage your Kitchen section with regard to food preparation and service according to set standards, customer satisfaction and high level of sales in line with company policies and regulations
Responsible for guiding the Commis in the performance of their jobs in accordance to Hotel policies and procedures
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support
Prepare high-quality dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices are followed at all times
Collaborate with other chefs to create innovative menu items and specials
Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels for your section
Responsible for ensuring daily storeroom requisitions and sufficient supplies during Kitchen operation are rotated and used in a FIFO system
Assist in menu planning and food cost control
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Participate in regular kitchen meetings and training sessions
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Assist the Sous Chef as needed
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar culinary role
Vocational degree in Culinary Arts or related field
Fluency in English, both verbal and written
Strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Proficiency in food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP principles
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
