Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation and Cooking:
• Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Lebanese dishes, including mezze, grills, and desserts, following authentic recipes and high presentation standards.
• Assist with daily mise en place and ensure all ingredients are prepared and portioned accurately.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's quality and presentation standards.
• Consistently taste dishes and adjust seasoning or other ingredients as needed for authenticity.
• Team Coordination:
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff, maintaining smooth and efficient operations.
• Support junior chefs and kitchen assistants, guiding them on techniques specific to Lebanese cuisine.
• Inventory and Supplies:
• Monitor stock levels of ingredients, especially those specific to Lebanese cuisine, and communicate any requirements to the Head Chef or kitchen manager.
• Ensure proper storage of ingredients to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
• Health and Safety:
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
• Keep a clean and organized workstation and ensure all equipment is properly maintained.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a Lebanese or Middle Eastern kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of Lebanese cuisine and culinary techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
