Job Summary:
We are looking for a Chef de Partie in the Pastry and Bakery section, who will play a key role in delivering exceptional desserts and baked goods that will delight our customers. Your expertise in pastry and dessert preparation, adherence to recipes, and innovative presentation will significantly contribute to our establishment's reputation and client satisfaction. You will work closely with the Pastry Chef to ensure the success and growth of our culinary offerings.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Pastry Chef to develop and refine pastry menus, incorporating creative ideas and seasonal ingredients
• Ensure the availability and quality of all ingredients and supplies at the pastry station
• Monitor and maintain the quality of pastries and desserts, ensuring they meet taste, texture, and temperature standards
• Follow directions from the Head Chef and or Pastry Chef and actively contribute to innovative presentation and dessert concepts
• Enhance pastry preparation processes, focusing on efficiency without compromising quality
• Adhere to stringent health and hygiene standards; ensure a clean and sanitary work environment
• Promote a positive and cooperative atmosphere within the pastry team
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all work areas and equipment, including countertops, mixing tools, and ovens, following company policies
• Oversee adherence to hygiene and sanitation protocols for food handling and equipment use
• Report any anticipated ingredient shortages to the Head Chef or Pastry Chef promptly
• Ensure all pastries and desserts are prepared according to recipes and portion guidelines
• Guarantee that all pastries are correctly garnished, portioned, and presented on the appropriate serving dishes
• Train and supervise junior pastry chefs, emphasizing best practices in pastry preparation, safety, and cleanliness
Requirements:
• Proven experience in a Chef de Partie role, with a focus on pastry
• Expertise in various pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
• Positive attitude and a collaborative working style
• In-depth knowledge of best practices in pastry and dessert preparation
• Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Physically fit, with the ability to lift and move at least 44 pounds regularly
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong work ethic, flexibility, and adaptability to change
• Attention to detail and a customer-focused approach
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From AED4,000.00 per month
