About Us & The Job Role:

Daughter and Dad is an independently run coffee shop, offering customers a carefully selected menu of speciality coffee and vegetarian/vegan comfort food. We are a small, tight-knit team looking to hire an experienced chef de cuisine with a good working knowledge and creative passion for vegetarian and vegan foods.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Engage in the development of a vegetarian and vegan-friendly menu, taking responsibility for the sourcing of all ingredients, professional communication with suppliers and appropriate costing/pricing of dishes.
• Manage the daily production, preparation and presentation of all menu items.
• Conduct daily temperature and equipment checks (i.e. freezers, fridges) reporting any faults directly to the manager.
• Adhere with health, safety, fire and hygiene guidelines and regulations at all times.
• Complete stock inventory to monitor supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.
• Work independently with confidence, and be able to successfully perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain good working relationships with all colleagues, and be able to contribute to positive team morale.

Qualifications & Skills:

• A minimum of 2 years of culinary experience in a commercial kitchen or catering environment, with knowledge of costing and menu development.
• Relevant culinary qualifications or diplomas are preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• HACCP compliant and computer literate.

Additional Information:

• ALL APPLICANTS MUST ALREADY BE BASED IN THE UAE.
• ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE DUE TO REMOTE LOCATION OR LIVE IN ON-SITE ACCOMODATION.
• SALARY: 4,000-5,000 AED DEPENDENT ON SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
