Job Title: Chef Cook
Job Summary:
The Chef Cook is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring food quality and safety standards are met. The Chef Cook will also supervise kitchen staff, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and prepare meals according to established recipes and standards
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
• Develop and maintain menu offerings, taking into account dietary restrictions and customer preferences
• Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
• Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Chef Cook or similar role
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Creative and innovative approach to menu planning
• Culinary degree or certification is a plus
Working Conditions:
• The Chef Cook will primarily work in a kitchen environment, which may involve exposure to heat, steam, and other cooking-related hazards.
• The position may require standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
