Position: CHEESEMAKER & PROCESSING HEAD
Job Location: Muscat Oman
Nationality: European / UK national To manage milk processing, pasteurizer and correct cutting programme and cutters. To operate to ISO22000 standards To process cheese, yoghurt, butter, Ice cream and other dairy lines as per Farm requirements. Ability to make artisan handmade cheeses according to agreed recipes to International Standards and above. R & D to be done on new recipes to be trialed internally for approval. Straining, filling Molds, managing drying fridge and checking PH and acidity to recipe. Other Duties & Responsibilities To provide samples from to the Laboratory for testing. To ensure maintenance and hygiene schedules for equipment are adhered to. To develop product range. Maintain, fill cheese section by packaging, weighing and labelling product. Daily Cheese turning. Brine work and any disposal as per farm SOP requirements. Monitor and control inventory to ensure that we have the correct shelf and display inventory for projected sales including additional displays. Monitoring and recording that food safety/HACCP practices are being followed Recording temperature in daily logs to monitor the safe storage of aging and ready to sell cheese. Record all as per company procedures into farm software. Monitor all processed produce, batch numbers, volumes and quality checks. Monitor processing equipment and report necessary service requirements. Daily cleaning as per HACCP requirements and processing SOP requirements.
Minimum Certification in Dairy Science or Food Science. Qualifications: Language English Speaking. Certified Artisan Cheesemaker an advantage.
Key Competencies:
Precise attention to detail, hygiene, and process control. Comprehensive knowledge of quality control procedures. Physically capable and dexterous and able to lift heavy items.
Salary OMR 1700-2000 + Food + Single accommodation + visa
