Job Description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE: * To carry out scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance tasks on the operated fleet while maintaining flydubai compliance and safety standards at the highest level.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Ensures all maintenance activities are carried out with flydubai and regulatory standards. Utilizes all resources made available by flydubai such as Resource Management System (RMS), and AMOS for management and recording of daily maintenance activities.
  • Ensures that certification of tasks is carried out only within the limitations of the company-issued approval.
  • Maintains the highest standards during all maintenance carried out on the flydubai fleet. Ensures all maintenance is carried out following the updated and effective manuals/documentation.
  • Ensures all Work Packages are completed thoroughly, and the relevant AMOS entries are made. Records any identified damage correctly and concisely.
  • Assists with the recovery of AOG aircraft, to support down-route requirements when requested.
  • Performs necessary troubleshooting (T/S) on ADDs and aircraft defects as required. Ensures all required spares and tools are ordered while raising ADD. Updates AMOS records accordingly.
  • Assists with voluntary and rostered overtime requirements as requested up to 50 hours per calendar month.
  • Assists the Senior Certifying Engineer (SCE) as required. Attends and responds to any tasks assigned by the RMS. Keeps company devices (iPads) updated all the time with related applications, company procedures and policies.
  • Retains currency on all Licenses and Authorizations issued by Regulatory Authorities and flydubai Compliance Monitoring department. Ensures the awareness of the expiry dates of all Licenses and Authorizations. Applies for renewals within a timely manner to ensure that currency is maintained.
  • Maintains effective communication with stakeholders including Managers and Senior Engineers. Ensures a seamless flow of information and highlights any potential items which may delay the operation. Informs Maintrol and Senior Engineers immediately with any removed or raised Aircraft Deferred Defect (ADD) which may affect the operation.
  • Attends training/recurrent modules as required to enhance skills and complies with CAR 145 requirements. Ensures all approvals are obtained.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: * Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
  • Engineering discipline
  • Fluent in English
  • Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of Boeing 737NG and 737 MAX in a Line and/or Base Maintenance environment.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Suite and MRO Systems.
  • 5 - 7 years
  • Current CAR 66 B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License (or FAA/ICAO equivalent) with ratings on the Boeing 737NG and/or MAX aircraft.

ISR Requirements: * Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
