Accountant- Property Leasing and Real Estate

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the financial aspects of property leases, including tenant billing, rent collection, and lease reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of lease-related transactions.
• Handle escalations and resolve tenant billing issues, coordinating with the leasing and property management teams.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to leasing operations.
• Provide detailed financial analysis and reports on lease performance, occupancy rates, and rent rolls.
• Monitor and report on key financial metrics, identifying trends and providing actionable insights.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts for leased properties.
• Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance.
• Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial insights related to leasing activities.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations related to property leasing.
• Prepare and file tax returns for property-related transactions, including sales tax and property tax.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls over leasing operations and financial reporting.
• Continuously improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies.

Qualifications

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the Philippines is required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on property leasing and real estate.
• Proven experience in lease accounting, financial reporting, and budget management within the property leasing sector.
• Experience in using the Navision system is an advantage

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with financial modeling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
