Job Description

:
  • Assist diagnostic cases like CAG, Cardiac Cath Study and peripheral angiograms.
  • Assist all adult interventions like: PTCA, Coil Embolization.
  • Implantation : VVI, DDD Pacemakers, AICDs, CRTs and CRTD.
  • Assist Endovascular (Aortic Aneurysm) Graft Stenting.
  • Assist Carotid, Renal and other peripheral angioplasties.
  • Assist (EVLT) Endo Venus Laser Treatment for Varicose Vain.
  • Assist in Tunneled Hemodialysis Catheter Insertion.
  • Assist in Epidural Injection for Back Pain.
  • Assist in Biopsy involving sampling of cells or tissues for examination.
  • Perform Table adjustments and C- Arm movements during the procedure.
  • Prepare, Recording and filing of all procedure protocols and reports.
  • Record and Retrieval of data regarding individual patients in DICOM software.
  • Perform Intra cardiac pressure recording, monitoring and collection blood samples for Shunt Detection, Recognize cardiac arrhythmias to enable prompt management.
  • Trained in CPR, BLS.
  • Handle INTERA AORTIC BALLOON PUMP (IABP) counter pulsation during High-Risk PCI, Data scope.
  • Handle Philips Volcano IVUS, FFR and IFR.
  • Handle ACIST coronary Injection system during Angiographic and Angioplasty procedures.
  • Knowledgeable in Handling ACT Equipment to define Clotting time.
Maintaining inventory of the Cath lab hardware like Catheters, Stents, Balloons, Guide wires etc. * Performing Quantitative Coronary Analysis (QCA) during Angioplasty.Entering patient wise consumptions data for procedure done accurately and Cath Lab Consignment Item Code creation and billing can be done by using computer. * The cardiovascular technologist is responsible for the radiation protection of patients and Lab personal in cooperation with the hospital Radiation Safety officer.
  • Coordinate with billing team for efficient and smooth flow of required information and coordination with insurance staff for approval of high expencive interventional procedures.
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures and objectives continuous quality improvement objectives and ensure pharmacy staff compliance.
  • Follow MOH rules and regulations.
  • Maintain all kinds of Procedure related records.
  • Monitor the nearing expiry/expired items in order to dispose them according to the policy.
  • Maintain the storage of Stents, Balloons, and Wires etc. according to its category.
  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
  • Maintain the computerized system to monitor and update the stock level in the assigned area.

Qualifications:
  • BACHELOR OF SCIENCE. DIPLOMA IN CARDIAC TECHNOLOGY (preferable)
  • 3 years of Experience
  • Organizational skills.

  • Good computer skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Customer service experience.
