Catering Supervisor Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct site inspection of all SECS facilities to identify any issues leaks, stuck doors, missing ceiling panels, burnt out light bulbs and makes arrangements with other departments to have issues corrected
Plan and execute catered events as needed, from start to finish
May perform final food garnishing tasks prior to serving
May provide tableside or serving line services such as, ladle soup, toss salads, portion pies and desserts
May assist coworkers during staffing shortages
Determines when and whether to call employees in to cover staffing needs (ex
To assist in the preparation and service of food and drink
To direct and supervise a small team of Catering Assistants in their day-to-day duties
To provide efficient counter service, ensuring the presentation of food is maintained to the highest standard, adhering to portion control guidelines
Provide staff with necessary breaks

To perform daily cash analysis of takings, complete finance records and banking procedures
To ensure all financial regulations are adhered to

Qualifications for catering supervisor
2 - 4 years in catering / food services experience required
2 - 4 years in a leadership position referred
Provide leadership to all direct reports through guidance, coaching and discipline while assisting them in their development
