Catering Equipment Controller
Your Role
Reporting to the Catering Manager, You will be responsible for ensuring that aircraft galleys are loaded in accordance with Safety Management regulations (weight and fit) and complying with the Inflight Service requirements per service type, per aircraft, per flight. You will also ensure that the appropriate count and volume of necessary service items are in the right place at the right time, without adding unnecessary cost to the company.
You will:
Plan, design and prepare galley loading plans (GLPs) for all aircraft in line with Safety Management.
Ensure user requirements are met, always maintaining a focus on weight and costs
Fit tests are responsibly carried out to ensure that GLP designs per service type are based on allowable stowage / cart capacities.
Plan, design and prepare Dry Stores and Bar Packing Plans, ensuring the most cost-effective solution per flight.
Create and distribute galley weights for all services/aircraft to outstation caterers and related load control teams.
Track warehoused inventory and liaise with all caterers to ensure sufficient float stocks are maintained
Carry out feasibility studies on catering services in relation to weight management and fuel consumption.
Contribute Training Materials for Cabin Service in relation to galley planning.
Monitor GLPs for continuous improvement opportunities.
Your Profile:
Ideally, you have
3 years in a similar role with an international airline - required
High level of work integrity - aspects of this function rely on the ability to work independently
Strong Excel skills with large matrixed spreadsheets, pivot tables, Gant charts
Ability to concisely report large volume data in dashboards - is a plus
Advanced level English spoken, written - required
Airside operations experience is a plus
All Windows office package programs
This is a Dubai based role, with up to 40% travel.
