Category Manager - EngineeringDubaiSalary 25k + Family BenefitsThis role is for a leading, established local family who deal in hospitality, retail, construction, etc. The role is to procure materials and services through a strategic approach, choosing the right vendor to ensure quality control. You will be responsible for managing the purchasing team and process, sourcing, negotiation, supplier identification, new project mobilization, delivery, and supplier management.Responsibilities will encompass:

• Strategic Development - Identifying and pre-qualifying new potential suppliers, preparing the tender documents with necessary scope, technical and commercial evaluation, Arrangement of samples for approval, Arranging E-Auction to choose the right supplier and Preparing supplier contract agreements
• General Task Management - Assessing and sourcing quotations from potential suppliers, Negotiating contracts, improving prices, payment and delivery terms with suppliers and reviewing opportunities to make business savings
• New Project Mobilization - Understanding the needs of the new projects and formulating a material and service delivery plan as per requirement and deadlines, Monitoring/Tracking spends are within the allocated budget, Supplier Performance Management & Evaluation
• Relationship Management - Developing and maintaining strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders, Communicating with stake holders regularly, Arranging/Attending internal external meetings and addressing on the issues faced. Etc.

Requirements:

• Applicants for this role must have a Bachelors in Engineering.
• A minimum of 8 Years of Experience in Soft Service Procurement.
• Soft Services Procurement / Strategic Sourcing and Category management / Analytical and Critical thinking skills
• Procurement ERP System & Vendor Portal/Cost benefit/Price Analysis experience.
• Knowledge on sourcing and procurement techniques, market Intelligence on sources and trends in the industry.
• Experience in collecting and analyzing data
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
