We are looking hire Energetic and Highly Motivated Individual for the role of Category Manager - Electronics & Home Appliances Role & Responsibilities; - Plan and manage the activities to ensure smooth functioning and error-free work flow. - Devise long-term development strategies for product categories. - Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services. - Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand successful product lines, and implement successful exit strategies for unsuccessful unpopular merchandise. - Implement category management for assigned products in all branches. - Review and monitor performance against defined standards. - Monitor calendar of events and provide a rolling promotion forecast. - Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory. - Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends. - Develop and implement monthly purchase plan. - Assist Line Manager in market analysis and pricing strategy. - Visit Branches / Warehouse and discuss issues related to stocks and any other related matter and submit Report to Line Manager - Evaluate and select new product positioning ideas. - Monitor compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as operational process standards (Ops) and external government regulations or supplier policies / requirements. - Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improvement efficiency & review department goals and business plan periodically with team to ensure buy-in and accountability ensures excellent and timely customer service and communication. - Negotiate pricing and promotional plans, trade deals, target achievements and other related strategies to ensure that maximum profit given. - Coordinate with Market Survey to obtain information on competitor price strategy and other promotion activities. - Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category - Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands - Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products - Manage inventory for effectively planning and forecasting in order to maximize the profitability of the inventory flow - Coordinate with Line Manager for matters relating to pricing and suppliers. - Coordinate with Warehouse for matters related to stock availability and action plans for excess, zero moving items. - Coordinate with promotion Coordinator for promotion stock availability. - Supervise and monitor staff for supplier and market analysis. - Monitor staff work and provide guidelines for smooth operation of work. - Submit analysis reports for decision making. Minimum Qualification ; - Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or any related field / MBA would be an added advantage - 6-10 years of experience in similar field in large retail sector with proven track record. - Strong background with merchandising and vendor relationships Candidates can share resume to recruitment@adcoops.com Job Type: Full-time
