Job PurposeLeads tendering, procurement and contracting activities for engineering projects and component pool under TCM (Total Component Management) program. Evaluates multiple options for fulfillment of material and services requirement in technically acceptable and commercial most optimal option. Assists in development of business case for new projects by analyzing total cost of ownership. Spearheads cost reduction projects related to engineering procurement. Supervises planning, coordination for ordering and delivery scheduling of BFE for new fleet.Key Result Responsibilities
Participates in initial provisioning in coordination with Material planning in Engineering & Maintenance section, external service provider, consultants & review the RSPL, come up with recommended float of rotables inventory levels based on Air Arabia operations and fleet size.
Prepares RFP, negotiates the commercial deals with the suppliers / OEMs including pricing and all commercial terms like warranty, shipping, payment terms, service levels for engineering products, material and services.
Prepares recommendation for award of contracts and ensures all the necessary internal approval for award of contracts and orders before handing over to Tech Procurement for actual purchasing.
Formulates and negotiates third party engineering contracts in consultation with stakeholders and legal.
Oversees the entire inventory lifecycle, including stock levels & negotiations with the supplier / OEM. This includes managing SPC2 and SPC6 items.
Processes inventory requests and generate requests for quotations (RFQs) when additional stock is needed. Use dashboards and interactive maps to understand global inventory availability.
Manages sales quotes and orders for customers or third parties. Pre-defined templates and pricing calculations to simplify the process.
Predicts resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
Identifies and Initiated cost improvement projects to optimize total cost of ownership to reduce material and services cost.
Relies on various resources like technical input from engineers, data from finance and financial modelling tools like NPV, IRR and Payback methods in order to assess feasibility / viability of engineering related projects.
Track project costs to meet budget.
Provides project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
Utilizes industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution,
Monitors progress and adjust with corrective action as needed.
Coordinates with Technical Procurement for timely ordering and deliveries of BFE for new fleet.
Identifies and implements cost-saving initiatives and strategies as per annual KPIs.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
Bachelor\'s degree in supply chain management/engineering or a related field
Certified Professional in Project Management or equivalent is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Can demonstrate the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against business strategy & KPIs
Developed skills in cost-estimation analysis and managing budget expenditure.
Strong interpersonal skills to manage conflicts, experienced in working with a team of professionals in a dynamic environment.
Experienced in designing, implementing and monitoring policies, procedures, and operating manuals as per business needs and in line with adopted regulations and approved quality standards.
Work Experience
8+ years of experience in similar field and TCM material planning and sourcing, component supply and services suppliers selection and quality management
Capable of driving process improvement and internal control in line with adopted standards.
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies and best practices
Experience in seeing projects through the full life cycle.
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
Proficiency in AMOS, RSPL Planning
Inventory planning using analytics tools to design optimal pool inventory.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to develop and implement procurement strategies and cost-saving initiatives.
