Careem operates in over 70 cities across 10 countries, from Morocco to Pakistan.As a Category Executive, you\'ll be responsible for defining our selection by store and working with on sourcing, pricing and promotion. This is a unique role with the opportunity to create genuine impact for the lives of everyday people in our region. We\'re looking for someone with grocery industry experience, ideally in one or more of the following categories: Meat & Fish
Work with the Category Manager on maintaining the category strategy in alignment with the overall department & business strategy.
Work with the Category Manager to achieve the objectives and the targets of the category.
Identify and sourcing key consumer trends in online grocery /Q-commerce business.
Source & negotiate items promotions from suppliers on a monthly, weekly and eventually basis.
Plan, source, and execute monetization campaigns which meet the partners needs and Careem Quik objectives.
Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure the success of the launched campaigns.
Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure the stock availability and smooth onboarding of the new added items.
Collaborate with the pricing team in sourcing competitive prices to maintain the category profitability.
Work closely with the supplier and maintain the relationship with them through business reviews and growth planning.
Work with the category assistant to ensure the hygiene of the item\'s content and maintain the right visibility on the App.
What You\'ll NeedSuccessful candidates will have a passionate commitment to improving the lives of people, an insane focus on excellence and customer centricity, and a strong alignment with our core values and purpose.
At least 2+ years of experience in the grocery industry in Buying or Category Management of Meat & Fish
Time spent in tech or a start-up is a plus
Experience negotiating with suppliers and importers of Meat & Fish. You will be proactively reaching out to brands to build a partnership.
Experience in accounts management.
You are an excellent communicator with strong influencing skills.
You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and address something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away
