Job Description

As a Cashier at Marakish Garage, you will be responsible for efficiently processing customer transactions related to automotive services and parts. You will be the face of our customer service, ensuring that all sales are processed accurately while providing excellent service. Your role will support the smooth operation of our garage and help ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:



Process transactions:

Handle payments for automotive services, parts, and accessories. This includes cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments.

Customer service:

Greet and assist customers, answer inquiries about products, services, and prices, and resolve issues related to billing or services.

Maintain cash register:

Ensure accurate cash management by counting cash drawers before and after shifts, ensuring the proper amount of change is available.

Invoice creation:

Generate invoices for service work, parts, and repairs. Provide clear breakdowns to customers and answer questions about the charges.

Billing and Payment Handling:

Accurately charge customers for parts and services rendered, apply discounts or promotions when applicable, and process warranty claims.

Up-sell services and parts:

Promote additional services (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations) and relevant automotive products to enhance the customer experience.

Customer transactions:

Ensure that all transactions are processed quickly and accurately, providing receipts and confirming any service appointments or follow-up needs.

Inventory tracking:

Assist in inventory management by tracking sales of parts and supplies, and reporting low stock to the relevant departments.

Documentation:

Keep accurate records of all customer transactions, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies.

Cleanliness and organization:

Keep the cashier area tidy and well-organized to maintain a professional and efficient workspace.

Work with the service team:

Collaborate with the service and repair team to ensure that customer orders, repairs, and appointments are properly documented and billed.

Skills and Qualifications:



Customer service skills:

Friendly and approachable with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.

Attention to detail:

Accuracy in processing payments, handling invoices, and tracking inventory.

Basic math skills:

Ability to perform simple calculations for change, totals, and discounts.

Organization skills:

Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently and maintaining an organized workspace.

Communication skills:

Ability to explain services, charges, and promotions clearly to customers.

Experience with POS systems:

Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, or the ability to quickly learn new software.

Physical stamina:

Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift light items (automotive parts, etc.).

Preferred Experience:



Previous cashier or retail experience, preferably in an automotive or repair setting. Knowledge of automotive parts and services is a plus, though not required.

Work Environment:



This position is based at Marakish Garage, where you will interact directly with customers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Hours of operation may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays based on the garage's schedule
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
