Job Description
: As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Your friendly and professional demeanor will contribute to creating a positive shopping experience for our customers. - Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Ring up customer purchases accurately using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Accept cash, credit/debit cards, or other forms of payment and provide accurate change.
- Ensure the security of all cash and transactions, following established procedures.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products or promotions.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient customer checkout process.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds following company policies.
- Monitor and manage the cash drawer, reconcile cash, and report any discrepancies.
- Assist with end-of-day cash count and closure procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a cashier or in a customer service.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused attitude and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and securely.
