Roles and Responsibilites

Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner. Assisting customers with finding products or providing information on promotions. Handling customer inquiries and complaints courteously and efficiently. Operating cash registers, scanners, and other electronics. Processing cash, credit, debit, and other forms of payments accurately. Calculating and providing correct change to customers. Balancing cash drawers and reconciling sales receipts at the end of shifts. Scanning or manually entering product codes and prices. Ensuring the accuracy of transactions and verifying prices and quantities of items purchased. Processing returns, exchanges, and refunds according to store policies. Monitoring and maintaining appropriate levels of cash in the register. Keeping track of inventory levels, informing supervisors of low stock, and replenishing merchandise as needed. Assisting with inventory counts and audits as required. Following security procedures to prevent theft and fraud. Checking for counterfeit currency and identifying suspicious behavior. Reporting any discrepancies or incidents to supervisors or security personnel. Familiarizing oneself with store products, promotions, and policies. Providing product information to customers and suggesting complementary items. Staying updated on changes in merchandise, pricing, and promotions. Keeping the checkout area clean, organized, and free of clutter. Arranging merchandise neatly at the checkout counter. Ensuring all necessary supplies such as bags, receipt paper, and pens are available.
