Job Summary:

The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The role includes handling cash, credit card payments, and vouchers, maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, and assisting customers with inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:1. Customer Service:

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Assist customers with inquiries and provide product information. Handle customer complaints and escalate issues when necessary.

2. Cash Handling & Transactions:

Process sales transactions quickly and accurately. Handle cash, credit/debit card, and other payment methods. Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as per company policy. Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accurate transactions.

3. Billing & Accuracy:

Scan products and ensure correct pricing. Apply discounts, offers, and promotions as per company guidelines. Verify and process vouchers, loyalty points, and coupons.

4. Inventory & Checkout Maintenance:

Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked. Report any discrepancies in pricing or stock shortages to supervisors. Assist in bagging items and ensuring proper handling of fragile items.

5. Compliance & Security:

Follow all company policies regarding cash handling and fraud prevention. Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols. Maintain confidentiality of customer information and financial transactions.

Requirements:Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role (preferred).

Skills & Competencies:

Strong numerical skills and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer and POS (Point of Sale) system knowledge. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress. Honesty, reliability, and a customer-first approach.

Working Conditions:

Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays. Standing for long periods. Handling cash and card transactions throughout the shift.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
