Job Description

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Carpentry Helper with a primary focus on sanding to join our team at Hikaya Office Furniture Manufacturing Co LLC. The ideal candidate will assist our carpenters by preparing wood surfaces through thorough sanding and other related tasks, ensuring that all pieces are ready for finishing and meet our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Sand wood surfaces using hand and power tools to prepare them for painting, staining, or varnishing.

Assist carpenters with basic tasks, including moving and setting up materials, tools, and equipment.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all sanding dust is properly collected and disposed of.

Perform quality checks on sanded surfaces to ensure smoothness and readiness for finishing.

Help with the assembly and fitting of wooden components as needed.

Follow safety guidelines while using tools and handling materials.

Report any defects or issues with materials or tools to the supervisor.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Carpentry Helper or in a similar role is preferred.

Basic understanding of carpentry tools and materials.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, standing, and repetitive movements for extended periods.

Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with power sanders and other woodworking tools.

Basic knowledge of wood types and their characteristics.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED1,150.00 - AED1,200.00 per month
