Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter for Interior Design to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will work closely with interior designers and other tradespeople to craft custom furniture, cabinetry, and architectural woodwork that enhances the aesthetic and functional qualities of residential and commercial spaces. You will use your carpentry expertise to transform design concepts into high-quality woodwork that fits seamlessly within interior design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Custom Furniture & Cabinetry : Construct and install custom furniture pieces, cabinetry, shelves, and storage units based on interior design specifications.
• Woodworking for Interior Spaces : Build and install wooden structures such as wall paneling, molding, trim, and other decorative wood features to elevate interior spaces.
• Collaboration with Designers : Work closely with interior designers to understand and interpret design concepts, ensuring that carpentry elements align with the overall vision of the space.
• Precision Craftsmanship : Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood materials with precision to meet design specifications, ensuring high-quality results.
• Material Selection : Advise on the selection of wood, finishes, and other materials that match the desired aesthetic and functional requirements of the design.
• Installation & Setup : Install carpentry components within interior spaces, ensuring proper fit, functionality, and alignment with the surrounding environment.
• Renovations & Remodels : Provide carpentry services for interior renovations, including restoring or modifying existing woodwork in alignment with the updated design.
• Problem-Solving : Address any carpentry challenges during the construction process, offering practical solutions to adapt to design needs.
• Quality Control : Inspect and evaluate finished carpentry work to ensure that it meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and durability.
• Safety and Cleanliness : Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Client Communication : In some cases, communicate directly with clients to discuss specific carpentry needs and ensure satisfaction with the final product.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a carpenter, with a focus on interior design projects (experience with custom furniture and cabinetry is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, techniques, and materials.
• Ability to interpret and follow design plans, blueprints, and sketches.
• Proficiency in both traditional woodworking techniques and modern carpentry methods.
• Experience with various wood finishes, stains, and paints.
• Attention to detail and precision in measuring, cutting, and assembling wood elements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt designs during construction.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with designers, clients, and other contractors.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A strong understanding of safety practices in carpentry and interior work environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in carpentry or interior design is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,700.00 - AED2,800.00 per month
