Job Description
Job Overview:As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. You will work closely with our team of contractors and project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials required and dimensions of structure or fixture to be constructed
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws
- Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue
- Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, or hardware, using carpenter\'s hand and power tools
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Communicate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and methods
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with woodworking tools and equipment
