What Does a Carpenter and Paint Technician Do?
This hands-on role involves constructing, repairing, and maintaining wooden and painted fixtures throughout the store. You will support store displays, manage back-office carpentry needs, and contribute to seasonal remodeling or event-based setup.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Carry out all carpentry and paint-related maintenance work as assigned by the supervisor
- Assist with in-store remodeling or setup during seasonal promotions and new displays
- Repair damaged furniture, walls, and other wooden or painted surfaces
- Install shelves, wall panels, floor elements, and signage as required
- Follow safety procedures while working in both customer-facing and back-office areas
- Maintain workshop tools and ensure efficient use of resources and materials
- Provide timely updates and maintain records of completed work
- Collaborate with the design, visual merchandising, and operations teams for support
What Skills Are Needed for This Role?
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or vocational education in carpentry or a related trade
- 3 to 6 years of experience in carpentry and paint maintenance work
Key Skills:
- Ability to perform finishing work, wood installations, painting, and surface prep
- Knowledge of safety protocols and workshop tool usage
- Ability to multitask and complete assignments on time
- Basic English or Arabic communication is preferred
- Team player with attention to detail and a positive attitude
