Through the CMA CGM Foundation, the Group acts in humanitarian crises that require an emergency response by mobilizing the Group's shipping and logistics expertise to bring humanitarian supplies around the world.Present in 160 countries through its network of more than 400 offices and 750 warehouses, the Group employs more than 155,000 people worldwide, including 4,000 in Marseilles where its head office is located.Cargo Readiness OfficerTHE ROLE:Ensure that the cargo is ready on time for loading by following-up the export shipments; he/ she is focused on CMA CGM (Group) cargo on export calls for POL local cargo.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Focus on CMA CGM (Group) cargo on Export calls for first POL cargo.
  • Entry point for Ops matters within Customer Care Direction.
  • Work on handover file and provide instruction to GBS for rolling cargo.
  • Contact customers for final notification by phone for missing information.
  • Coordinate with related internal teams and follow up to ensure Resolution for customer last minute problems.
  • Provide final HANDOVER READYNESS to relevant stakeholders to maximize vessel call.
  • Coordinate late gate arrival with Cargo Ops
  • Manage all operational contingencies.
  • Follow up on local cargo shut outs (cut and runs), perform (for own bookings) and monitor (for x-bookings) LARA updates to inform Cargo Ops & Cargo Flow after completion .
  • Provide Clear handover list to Cargo ops
  • Post departure exceptions management (overlanded & short, landed units)
  • Analyze KPIs and identify customer behavior patterns to eventually take decision on readiness.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFILE:
  • Strong knowledge in Shipping Industry (minimum 5 years of experience)
  • Graduate (3 years regular course ) Any bachelor degree or Equivalent University Degree
  • Knowledge of commercial policy and offers
  • Knowledge of dangerous / special cargo or commodity
  • Knowledge of port / country regulations
  • Knowledge of the legal and / or regulatory frame
  • Commercial relation
  • Customer service / user support
  • Risk detection and prevention
  • Excellent communication Skills
  • Software / IT Applications
