- Prepare vehicles for painting by performing tasks such as sanding, masking, and priming to ensure a smooth and even surface.
- Mix and match paint colors to the specifications provided by manufacturers or customers.
- Apply paint using various techniques, including spraying, brushing, and rolling, to achieve desired finish and coverage.
- Perform quality checks to ensure that paint application meets industry standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning and maintaining painting equipment and tools.
- Keep accurate records of paint usage, materials used, and hours worked.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience as a car painter.
- Proficiency in paint mixing, matching, and application techniques.
- Knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and coatings used in automotive painting.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
