Position Summary:
As the Captain of our oil tanker ship, you will be responsible for the overall command and operation of the vessel. Your leadership will ensure safe navigation, efficient cargo handling, and compliance with international regulations while effectively managing the crew.

Key Responsibilities:

• Navigation and Operations:
• Direct navigational operations, ensuring safe passage and compliance with maritime laws. Prepare and implement voyage plans based on weather conditions and cargo requirements.
• Support for Trading Activities:

Collaborate with the trading department to optimize routes and timing for loading and unloading, providing feedback on market conditions and vessel performance.

• Cargo Management:

Oversee loading, stowage, and discharge of cargo, ensuring safety protocols are followed and preventing spills.Lead and motivate the crew, fostering a culture of safety and teamwork. Conduct regular training and emergency drills.Manage the vessel's WhatsApp group for real-time communication with crew and management, ensuring clear communication on voyage and technical matters.Ensure operations adhere to regulatory frameworks, conducting safety inspections and audits to mitigate risks.Act as the primary decision-maker during emergencies, coordinating response efforts and maintaining emergency response plans.Maintain accurate logs of navigational activities, cargo operations, and crew performance. Prepare necessary reports for regulatory authorities and management. Qualifications:

• Valid Master Mariner Certificate appropriate for the vessel.
• Extensive experience in tanker operations, with prior command experience on oil tankers preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.

• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Proficiency in navigation software and communication tools, including WhatsApp.

Work Environment:
The Captain will spend extended periods at sea, managing the vessel and crew in various maritime conditions. This role requires adaptability, composure, and authority in high-pressure situations.
