The role includes supporting the Business Development team during the bidding phase and assisting Project Directors and contract managers throughout the execution phase.The major projects under management include Industrial WWTPs, Hazardous Waste Management, Waste-to-Energy, and Desalination projects, each with an EPC phase exceeding 100 million USD. Many of these projects are connected to the Oil & Gas sector.Detailed Lead contract management activities to support key projects from development through execution and operation.Create and implement a standardized process for preparing and managing contracts for large-scale projects.Functionally manage and develop a team of contract managers assigned to each project.Develop and lead contract negotiations with subcontractors and stakeholders.Assist Business Development Team (BD) in designing optimal contractual and economic frameworks for project bids or projects under development and the preparation of partnership and subcontracting documentation.Manage claims, devise claim strategies, and oversee the preparation of related documentation, including amendments, change orders, and notifications.Advice on contractual aspects of procurement strategies, documents, and evaluation criteria for surveying, engineering, consultancy, EPC, and O&M work.Participate in project contract reviews, ensuring compliance with procurement rules and project objectives.Monitor and initiate reductions in Letters of Credit, Liquidated Damages (LDs), Warranties, and other commercial risks at project completion.Serve as the primary point of contact for the legal team in key disputes and contractual issues.Review and validate all Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and contracts prior to award.Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or Law required. MBA from an accredited business school (preferred).
Minimum of 15 years in contract management, with experience in large-scale projects.
Proven experience managing large and complex contracts, experience in non recursive financed projects is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Strong experience in international contract management.
Extensive knowledge of EPC contracts, key supplier activities, and partnership-based contracting models.
Expertise in project economics, asset management, and industry standards.
Strong understanding of commercial, legal, and contractual compliance, ensuring timely delivery and project integrity.
Familiarity with legal and commercial terms related to construction.
Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Competent in managing conflicts and crises within a project context.
Strong leadership and HR management capabilities.
Exceptional time management and project delivery skills.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial management and decision-making skills.
Proven experience and knowledge of GCC Countries and market.
