We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. As the Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for managing the team, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining a high-quality product, and achieving operational goals. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for both customers and staff while ensuring that the cafe runs smoothly and profitably.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership and Staff Management:
• Supervise and motivate cafe staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen personnel.
• Schedule, train, and evaluate staff to ensure optimal performance and customer service.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, enthusiasm, and high morale.
• Customer Service:
• Ensure high standards of customer service by addressing customer needs, resolving complaints, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Lead by example in providing friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service.
• Handle customer feedback and implement improvements when necessary.
• Operations Management:
• Oversee daily cafe operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure the cafe complies with all health and safety regulations and cleanliness standards.
• Monitor and manage cafe performance, including budgeting, sales goals, and operational costs.
• Product Quality Control:
• Ensure consistent quality of food and beverages, including coffee, baked goods, and menu items.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and barista teams to maintain product standards and innovate new offerings.
• Financial Management:
• Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and profits.
• Implement cost control measures and monitor inventory to reduce waste and maximize profitability.
• Prepare financial reports and work with management to set goals for revenue and profit growth.
• Marketing and Community Engagement:
• Promote cafe offerings and brand through social media, local events, and other marketing channels.
• Engage with the local community to build relationships and increase customer loyalty.
• Implement promotions and special events to drive traffic and sales.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Cafe Manager, Assistant Manager, or in a similar leadership role within the food and beverage industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating a positive guest experience.
• Knowledge of cafe operations, including inventory management, cost control, and staff scheduling.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
