Role description

- This person will be responsible for monitor revisions and include revision clouds between each package including between scheme and DD. Ensure revision numbers are accurate on each page and the issue log in the title block is up to date.

- This person will have extensive experience with in the UAE having successfully overseen the construction of office projects specifically.

- Impeccable organizations and documentation skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills being able to coordinate directly with contractors, clients and external project managers as a SBID representative.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate with vendors to produce options for detailing that will meet the design requirements, present those options to the designer for inclusion in the detail packages. Including - Flooring, ceiling, lighting, ironmongery etc.

- Insure joins for every material are identified in the final IFC package and are communicated with the designer. Includes fabrics / glass and all joinery. Contact vendors to verify material lengths if unknown.

- Submit lighting drawing to vendors for lux calculations, after designers review and approval, update lighting layout as per final design requirements.

- Communicate any changes to anything impacting MEP provisions including switching and lighting locations by the designer and informed to the MEP team, then follow up and ensure those changes have been included.

- Review the details building guidelines, produce the guidelines report and ensure all landlord requirements are met in the drawing package.

- Coordinate with Syed (projects coordinator) that all landlord and authority drawings are included in the scheme drawing set

- Produce, & maintain the drawing submittal register (AS PER THE CURRENT AND UP TO DATE SBID STANDARD) for every submission of the drawing packages, ensuring revisions numbers are correlated between the front page of the package, the submittal register and the title block of each page.

- Determine Scale size of each drawing, type, submit to designer for approval prior to production of drawings.

- Submit a plan of what drawings should be produced to the designer for approval itemizing which drawings will be enlarged views, v's elevations vs joinery drawings. Keeping in mind efficiency and project requirements for D&B v's consultation only projects.

- Receive final furniture sizes, updating drawing package with correct furniture blocks and ensuring adequate clearance are met.

- Conduct site surveys in line with site survey guidelines and check list and ensure ALL necessary information is gathered and documented to produce a detailed CAD package.

- Select appropriate wall types to meet the clients requested performance specification for the senior designers review and annotate correctly s per SBID guideline.

- Check the Specification schedule regularly to ensure that the drawing is compatible with the products descriptions and installation requirements.

- Ensure all power points, switches, thermostats are indicated on IFC package elevations and joinery drawings. Submit for review to the lead designer,
