Job Purpose


This position is responsible for Programming & Production engineering activities, which includes Design/Manufacturing/Maintenance of Fixture/Template/Pallet, implementing new technologies for process improvement, cost reduction & lean manufacturing. Supporting production in new product introduction and current product improvements / trails, implementing automation solutions (Robotic & Non Robotic) & Robot programming.

Key Accountabilities:

• Design/Manufacturing/Maintenance: Jigs / Fixtures / Templates / Pallets - In line with the production requirements
• Process Improvements / Automations / Innovations / SPMs - In line with smart objectives
• Current Product Improvements: CR/CI, ECR/ECN - In line with smart objectives
• New product introduction (FAN) - As per Strategic plan
• Fixture Maintenance & Spares management - In line with the production requirements
• Maintain Production Engineering database/Master File - In line with the production requirements
• Robot Programming - In line with the production requirements
• General note: The job responsibility is flexible and subject to change based on departmental needs.

Job Context:


The position is responsible to:


PRODUCTION ENGINEERING ACTIVITIES:


To fulfill below requirements as per FZE Production requirements


a) Jigs, fixtures, templates, Pallets (New requirements, Maintenance & Replacements),


b) Maintaining spares for Fixtures/Jigs.


c) Special tools & Equipment's


d) Factory Layout



PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS / AUTOMATIONS / INNOVATIONS:


a) Robotics


b) Non robotics


c) New technologies


d) New Machines for better process



NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTION:


a) Provide support to production in GR3/GR4 stages of new product introduction.


b) Provide support to Production/QA on process flow charts, facility requirements, tool requirement, jigs & fixtures requirement, equipment for new processes, layout during NPI.


c) Generation of work instruction for the new product using preliminary instruction that comes out of the GR3 stage from Industrial Engineering.



ROBOT PROGRAMMING:


a) To meet the Laser/MIG Welding (preferably Trumpf / KUKA /Amada) Robot programming requirement for FZE.


b) To implement new ideas to optimize the Laser Robot programs for cycle time reduction.


c) To explore the new robot (Laser / MIG) welding technique for programming parts for different applications.


d) Other Robot programming applications in FZE (Gluing, etc.)



PRODUCTION ENGINEERING ACTIVITIES:


a) Maintenance of Existing fixtures periodically.


b) Maintenance of spares for the fixtures.



OTHER GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


a) Maintain master file for Fixtures & Template


b) Maintain master file for Pallets, Boxs & Racks


c) Generate work instructions where-ever required.



LEAN MANAGEMENT:


a) Eliminate Waste Activities


b) Coordinate with related departments for optimized process flow, Lean manufacturing


c) Total cycle time (throughput time) reduction & Implementing 5S concepts



HEALTH AND SAFETY:

• Facilitate safe working environment for people and implement H&S guidelines and regulations



General

• To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by the company.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of information relating to the company's business and staff.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's / Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering


Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Jigs/Fixtures designing and manufacturing,


Job-Specific Skills:

• 3D Design software (Inventor/ Solid works/ Catia/ Unigraphics/ etc)
• Skilled in Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Table, Conditional Formatting)
• Should be well versed in understanding engineering drawings (Specially Sheetmetal).
• Incorporating better material handling solutions,
