Job Overview

The direct Procurement Buyer will be responsible for managing and developing procurement strategies, for direct materials in the automotive industry. This position requires a thorough understanding of the automotive industry and best practices to support business objectives and optimize cost savings.

Responsibilities : Participate & Implement regional procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within the industry Ensure that purchasing policy processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs, regarding price, quality and delivery targets, to optimize performance and productivity Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, materials, and cost-saving opportunities. Establish, Review and Manage contracts with suppliers and ensure favorable pricing and delivery terms while maintaining quality standards. To manage and negotiate annual increases proposed by suppliers, ensuring that the proposed increase is market related. Use appropriate resources (including Supplier Development) to ensure supplier partnerships and delivery of sourced products Manage relationships with suppliers. Select and develop new suppliers Build long-term relationships with vendors in the industry Provide management reports, key performance data and monitor cost Ensure parts are sourced in full and aligned to production schedules and customer requirements Lead cross-functional project for localization and outsourcing Lead and track annual cost saving progect Ensuring full TE compliance respect

What your background should look like:

Master's degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field . 3- 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, in direct procurement or related field Experience in Project management capabilities ans Value stream mapping Understanding of the supply chain and value chain in the automotive industry. Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken Proven track record in negotiating contracts for direct goods and services in the automotive industry. Ability to negotiate pricing, terms, and quality to achieve optimal outcomes. Experience in managing supplier relationships in the automotive industry. Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, evaluate supplier performance, and address non-performance issues. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
