:Key Responsibilities:Product Sourcing & Procurement: o Source, evaluate, and select factories for baby strollers, nursery furniture, and other hard goods (e.g., high chairs, car seats, cribs, playpens). o Develop relationships with manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors to ensure the best pricing, quality, design and availability. o Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products to identify opportunities for new product offerings.Brand Development & Management: o Develop and manage the brand portfolio for the baby stroller, nursery, and hard goods categories, ensuring alignment with the brand's strategy. o Work closely with the marketing and merchandising teams to ensure brand positioning, promotion, and merchandising strategies are executed successfully. o Maintain a balance between established, recognized brands and emerging new brands that meet quality standards and consumer demands.Inventory Management & Product Assortment: o Collaborate with inventory planners to forecast demand, ensuring the right mix of products in the right quantities at the right time. o Monitor stock levels and make purchasing decisions based on sales trends, seasonal fluctuations, and customer demand. o Plan and manage product assortments, ensuring a competitive and appealing offering across baby strollers, nursery items, and hard goods.Pricing & Margins: o Develop pricing strategies that are competitive yet profitable, ensuring margin targets are met. o Negotiate terms with suppliers to achieve the best possible deals on cost, delivery terms, and product quality. o Work with finance and category management teams to ensure cost control and margin optimization.Supplier Relations & Negotiations: o Must have great relationship with factories. o Lead negotiations with vendors to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service levels. o Build and nurture long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent product supply and improved terms. o Evaluate vendor performance and provide feedback on product quality, shipping, and customer service. o Work closely with new frames and material for new products.Market Research & Trend Analysis: o Stay informed of trends in the baby products industry, including new technologies, materials, and consumer preferences. o Analyze sales performance, customer feedback, and industry data to drive future buying decisions. o Provide insights into competitive products and pricing, as well as emerging trends within the market.Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: o Collaborate with product development, merchandising, and design teams to ensure product offerings meet consumer needs and brand expectations. o Work with the quality assurance and compliance teams to ensure that products meet safety and regulatory standards for baby goods. o Partner with the marketing and sales teams to create effective product launches and promotional campaigns.Reporting & Analysis: o Track and report on sales performance, inventory turnover, and supplier performance. o Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management on product assortment, performance, and category growth. Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in product hard goods buying, category management, or procurement, preferably within the baby products, nursery, or nursery consumer goods sectors. Experience in managing brands, working with suppliers, and developing buying strategies. Familiarity with the baby stroller and nursery product categories is highly desirable. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proven experience with inventory management and product assortment strategies. Solid understanding of industry standards, regulations, and trends in baby products. Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
