Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Category Management:

o Manage product assortment, pricing, promotions, and inventory to maximize category performance.

2. Vendor Relations:

o Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers to enhance category offerings and negotiate favourable terms.

3. Market Analysis:

o Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and address market gaps.

4. Collaboration:

o Work closely with marketing, floor sales, and head office teams to identify and implement new products, promotions, and category strategies.

5. Performance Monitoring:

o Continuously monitor category performance and make data-driven decisions to achieve sales and profitability targets.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Buyer, Category Supervisor, or in a similar role in the Electronics sector for 4-5 years.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in inventory management and retail software.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple stores effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a retail environment managing Electronics categories.
• Knowledge of local and regional consumer electronics market trends.
