The Butcher is responsible for cutting, trimming, preparing, and displaying meat products for sale. They ensure that meat products are fresh, of high quality, and presented in a manner that maximizes sales and customer satisfaction. Butchers may work in grocery stores, specialty meat shops, or processing plants. Key Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat and poultry. \xc2\xb7 Grind and prepare meats for sausages, patties, and other meat products. \xc2\xb7 Ensure all products are properly labelled and packaged. \xc2\xb7 Maintain proper portion control and consistent weight standards. \xc2\xb7 Inspect meat products for defects, bruises, or blemishes and remove excess fat. \xc2\xb7 Ensure the freshness and quality of all meat products. \xc2\xb7 Follow proper handling and storage guidelines to prevent contamination and spoilage. \xc2\xb7 Assist customers with their selections and provide information about different cuts and cooking methods. \xc2\xb7 Take special orders and prepare custom cuts based on customer specifications. \xc2\xb7 Address customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner. \xc2\xb7 Maintain a clean and organized work area, including all equipment and display cases. \xc2\xb7 Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper use of knives and other tools. \xc2\xb7 Follow all safety procedures to prevent injuries and accidents. Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a butcher or meat cutter.
- Knowledge of meat preparation techniques, cutting tools, and equipment.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with specialty cuts and value-added products (e.g., marinated meats, stuffed roasts).
- Immediate joiner is preferred
