The Business Management Consultant (BMC) works in the CEO's Office and is deeply involved with the CEO's initiatives to create C-Level presentations and reports, analyze data, deliver insights, create strategic plans, establish frameworks and provide advice to support decision-making of the Beacon Red Leadership. The BMC is a versatile advisor, applying cross-functional expertise to support Beacon Red in solving diverse business challenges, enhancing operational effectiveness, and supporting strategic initiatives. This role is suited to a generalist with a wide-ranging consulting background, able to provide high-impact, strategic, and operational insights in a dynamic and complex environment. This role requires flexibility, broad knowledge of business principles, and the ability to work across a wide range of industries or functional areas. It requires an individual who can analyze complex issues without requiring deep specialization in one specific area, providing advisory to support critical decision-making process. Familiarity with security standards and regulatory requirements is essential for understanding the unique dynamics of these industries.Key Responsibilities
Executive Communication:
o Create C-Level presentations with strong narrative to support the engagements of the CEO o Formulate actionable recommendations and frameworks aligned with organizational goals o Prepare and present executive-level reports, delivering insights, analysis, and recommendations clearly and concisely to leadership
Strategic Analysis & Recommendations
o Conduct analysis of challenges and opportunities pertaining to the business o Assess organizational goals, market trends, and competitive landscapes o Conduct comprehensive risk assessments o Advise on risk mitigation strategies relevant to the business under analysis
Operational Assessment & Improvement
o Identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization within internal processes o Design improvements that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity
Project Management
o Lead cross-functional tasks and initiatives, ensuring coordination across departments, adherence to timelines, and alignment with organizational prioritiesRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field; an MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
5+ years of consulting experience, with at least 2 years in the defense or cybersecurity industries preferred.
Data Visualization: Proficiency with tools like PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to translate data into clear visuals (e.g., charts, graphs, dashboards) that make complex information accessible and impactful for executive audiences.
Generative Artificial Intelligence: Proficiency with latest generative artificial intelligence solutions applied to optimize lead times and enhance executive presentations.
Storytelling Techniques: Knowledge of storytelling frameworks to craft a narrative that logically flows from problem identification to proposed solutions, making presentations engaging and easy to follow.
Familiarity with Executive Preferences: Understanding of how executives prefer to receive information (e.g., concise summaries, key metrics) and tailoring presentation styles to meet these preferences.
Persuasion and Influence: Ability to build a persuasive case, using data-backed arguments and storytelling to align executive stakeholders with the proposed recommendations.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust the presentation based on last-minute input from leadership, new data, or shifting priorities, as well as handling unexpected questions during delivery.
