Carl Zeiss Vision, a global leading and innovative Foundation in optical lens and diagnostic optical instrument business, is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to service optometrists and opticians in East-Africa. The applicant will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.Responsibilities
Deliver growth by regularly visiting existing customers in East-Africa.
Prospect, open and develop new accounts within East-Africa.
Present new and current products.
Support the customer with product, sales, and order process training.
Initiate and support marketing promotions of the customers to ensure brand visibility and sales.
Work in the field with customers in their own outlets to improve sales processes.
Provide exceptional customer service and xe2x80x9cpartnerxe2x80x9d with customers.
Ability to actively close sales.
Ability to utilize reports and presentations to effectively manage the customer relationship.
Support the customers with registration of instruments and lenses.
Reports on regular basis to the Regional Sales Manager.
Preferred qualifications
Ability to digest, comprehend, and verbalize highly technical products.
Demonstrated professional sales skills.
Strong verbal and written communication in English and interpersonal skills. French and Swahili is a plus.
Basic to intermediate computer skills.
Good knowledge of the optical business.
Must be willing and able to travel in East-Africa with hotel stays on a regular basis.
A driver license is a plus.
Education
Experienced (minimum 5 years) Sales agent in the optical field, optometrist, or optician.
