The Business Development Manager in the F&B industry is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities to drive the growth of the company's food and beverage services. (S)He will develop and execute strategies to expand the company's market presence, build strong client relationships, and contribute to achieving revenue targets. The role involves both strategic and operational responsibilities, focusing on sales, marketing, client acquisition, and business expansion.
Strategic Responsibilities:
1. Market Analysis and Expansion:
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new business opportunities in the F&B sector.
• Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to formulate strategies for expansion.
• Develop and implement strategies to extend the company's services into new markets and regions.
2. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
• Identify and pursue potential clients, partnerships, and business opportunities.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with current clients to foster repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade shows to generate new leads and business opportunities.
3. Sales Strategy and Execution:
• Develop, implement, and execute sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets.
• Create tailored proposals, presentations, and pitches to potential clients.
• Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure business while ensuring profitability.
Operational Responsibilities:
1. Event Planning and Coordination:
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and customize catering services accordingly.
• Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to design menus that meet client needs and expectations.
• Manage the logistics of catering events, including coordination of venue setup, staffing, and event execution.
2. Team Management and Training:
• Oversee and manage the catering team, including chefs, servers, and support staff, ensuring high performance.
• Ensure all team members are trained in customer service, food safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Manage team schedules, performance evaluations, and ensure smooth operations during events.
3. Quality Control and Compliance:
• Ensure that all catering services comply with local health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
• Address and resolve any client concerns or complaints in a prompt and professional manner.
4. Budget Management and Cost Control:
• Prepare and manage budgets for catering projects and events.
• Monitor expenses, optimize resource allocation, and ensure the profitability of each event.
• Implement cost control measures without compromising on quality.
5. Marketing and Promotion:
• Develop marketing and promotional strategies to increase awareness of catering services.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute campaigns, promotional materials, and digital marketing efforts.
• Utilize social media platforms and digital tools to increase visibility and attract new clients.

3.4 Education Qualification
• Graduation in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or any related field.
• Additional certifications in sales, business development, or F&B management are a plus.
3.5 Language
• Good command of English. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
4. ADDITIONAL NOTES
• A valid UAE driving license is required for client meetings and business development activities.
• Flexibility to attend evening events or work outside regular hours as needed.
