Job Overview:

We are looking for an

experienced and driven Business Development Manager

with a strong background in the

sports apparel industry

. The ideal candidate will have

deep knowledge of multiple sports, understand

the needs of schools, academies, and clubs, and have

proven experience in selling custom teamwear and sports gear

. This role requires a mix of

strategic sales planning and hands-on client engagement

to expand our market presence and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead generation & sales execution

- Identify new business opportunities within

schools, sports academies, and professional teams

.

Client relationship management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with

*PE departments, sports directors, and procurement teams

.

-

Industry expertise

- Stay updated on sports kit and gear requirements for various sports including

football, basketball, rugby, cricket, swimming, athletics, and more

.

Proposal & contract management

- Prepare tailored proposals, close deals, and negotiate contracts.

Market expansion strategy

- Develop and implement sales strategies to

increase brand presence

in the UAE and beyond.

Collaboration with design & production teams

- Ensure smooth order processing, from

design approvals to delivery

, maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Competitor analysis & pricing strategy

- Research market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to optimize pricing and sales tactics.

Attending industry events & networking

- Represent IPU Sports at

sports tournaments, expos, and business meetings

to establish strong partnerships.

Existing client base/relations is a plus

Requirements:

-

3+ years of experience in business development/sales in the sports apparel or teamwear industry

.

Strong understanding of different sports and their kit requirements

(experience working with schools, clubs, or federations is a plus).

Proven track record in selling custom sportswear and closing high-value deals

.

Ability to identify and approach key decision-makers in schools, academies, and sports organizations

.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

.

Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-ups

.

Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office

(experience with Zoho is a plus).

Valid UAE driver's license
