Business Development Manager - Cosmetics and Perfume Sales
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our sales initiatives in the cosmetics and perfume sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing within the beauty industry, excellent relationship-building skills, and a strategic mindset to drive growth and expand our market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the cosmetics and perfume industry.
• Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, retailers, and distributors to ensure long-term partnerships.
• New Business Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential clients and market segments, to expand our portfolio.
• Product Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and marketing materials that effectively highlight product benefits.
• Sales Forecasting: Prepare and present sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer service, to ensure alignment on sales objectives and product offerings.
• Training and Development: Mentor and train junior sales staff on best practices and product knowledge to enhance team performance.
• Networking: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to represent the company and identify new business prospects.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the cosmetics and perfume industry.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer behavior in the beauty industry.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.
• Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
