•Qualifications: •
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development in Shipping and Freight forwarding industry (Liner, Container, NVOCC) sales, or marketing.
• Strong understanding of the shipping and freight forwarding industry.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
• Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
•Key Responsibilities: •
• Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients in the shipping and freight forwarding industry.
• Analyze competitors' activities and market developments to inform business strategies.
• Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve company goals.
• Identify and pursue potential clients through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients.
• Work closely with the operations, logistics, and marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring client satisfaction.
