The Business Development Manager - UAE is the driving force behind maximizing profitable growth within Siemens Energy's (SE) UAE accounts. You are the strategic link between the customer's headquarters and the internal SE organization, championing the customer's interests and demonstrating a strong commitment to building long-lasting partnerships.
How You'll Make An Impact
• Market Business Strategy:
+ Analyze customer value chains and communicate account requirements to internal SE teams (Hubs/Regions and Business Areas).
+ Influence SE strategies to address customer needs by leveraging the full SE portfolio.
+ Initiate development planning and processes for SE products, systems, and solutions that align with customer needs (e.g., through workshops).
+ Encourage joint development projects by facilitating information exchange.
+ Use SalesForce CRM tool to track and update progress of opportunities.
• Operational Planning:
+ Identify and develop short, medium, and long-term business opportunities for SE.
+ Translate market strategy into actionable short/mid-term account plans.
+ Maintain comprehensive documentation of strategic and operational account planning, ensuring transparency and information sharing on SE business within the account.
• Responsibility for Customer:
+ Gain in-depth understanding of the customer's business targets, challenges, needs, processes, value chain, and key business drivers.
+ Transfer this knowledge effectively to SE Business Areas and Hubs/Regions.
+ Focus on strategic business opportunities by coordinating activities across involved SE teams.
+ Represent the customer within SE, ensuring a synchronized and unified approach.
+ Deliver value to the customer through new business creation, information sharing, and market intelligence, thereby opening up new opportunities for SE.
+ Oversee customer satisfaction surveys to demonstrate commitment and passion for the customer relationship.
• Strategic Account Development:
+ Develop and execute a comprehensive 3-5 year UAE account strategy aligned with customer goals, market insights, and identified business opportunities.
+ Ensure agreement on strategy figures and KPIs from all participating SE Business Areas to guarantee unified support.
+ Formulate a strategic Account Development Plan in harmony with Hub/Region and Business Area business planning to foster long-term business growth.
• Additional Responsibilities
+ Achieve UAE account business targets by developing strategic partnerships and building strong relationships with key decision-makers and executives.
+ Identify, drive, and develop short/medium/long term opportunities for SE, including setting long-term goals, identifying strategic projects, and engaging SE teams to develop, sell, and deliver optimized solutions.
+ Coordinate and motivate the SE Business Area Sales team and management to achieve substantial and profitable business growth, focusing on new business fields, international business, protecting traditional business, and establishing alliances/partnerships
+ Design, analysis, and modelling from concept definition through detailed design.
+ Active participation in test setup and test operation.
+ Provide necessary engineering to support design and manufacture of testing configurations.
+ Evaluation / reduction of test results, communication of results to broader project team(s).
+ Actively contribute to focused project teams to support technology and product development project objectives.
+ Foster a collaborative work ethic within the team and the ICA.
+ Effectively communicate with multiple functional groups (Business Areas, Global Innovation Centers, Customers).
What You Bring
• 3 - 5 years work experience in the Energy sector, preferably UAE experience.
• Proven experience in strategic account management and business development, preferably in the Energy sector.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Salesforce CRM for managing customer relationships and sales pipelines.
• Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to analyse complex business landscapes and formulate effective growth strategies.
• Exceptional collaboration and teamwork abilities to foster cross-functional alignment and drive collective success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Reporting Structure: This role will report directly to the Head of Business Development of UAE.
